Inspiring workspace
Changing environments, and specifically spending time in nature, is scientifically proven to catalyze creativity. Skypad is about escaping your office, your city and your country and surrounding yourself with nature. Our open-living villas are engulfed by jungle and offer sweeping vistas of the pacific.
Design Thinking
Every day, you’ll spend four hours doing deep, focused work on your project. You'll follow Design Thinking methodology for creative problem-solving developed at Harvard and taught at Stanford and MIT. Our aim is to have you leave Skypad with a prototype ready to be launched upon return.
Healthy nutrition
A light and nutrient dense diet has been scientifically proven to improve mood, increase energy and sharpen concentration. Our menu is specifically formulated for peak mental and physical performance. It is plant-based and focused on nutrition density, quick digestion and mind blowing flavors.
Brainstorming
Brainstorming is a proven technique to flush out ideas. However, there is a right way and wrong way to brainstorm. We offer guided brainstorming during our nightly fireside chats using proven techniques to ensure you get the useful feedback and make the most of your brainstorming sessions.
Idea incubation
Ideas are formed by both active thinking and by taking breaks from thinking. Research proves that physical movement increases creativity 60% by allowing the brain to enter a meditative state. At Skypad, we use daily physical activity to help your ideas incubate.
Mind-wandering
Mind wandering happens when we take time away from actively thinking and we get lost in non-related activities. Knowing that nature is scientifically proven to catalyze ideas, we do the wandering outside, creating space for our mind to draw upon memories, feelings and images to create new connections.
Mindfulness
Meditation has been scientifically proven to increase mental strength and focus, boost creative energy, improve problem solving, and reduce stress. At Skypad, you’ll engage in guided meditation three times per day to aid the process of putting you into a peak creative state.
Deep Sleep
Numerous studies have proven that sleep inspires insightful ideas, enhances mental agility, and integrates unassociated information for creative problem solving. At Skypad, our rooms are designed for deep sleep with comfortable bedding, blackout curtains, grounding mats and no screens.
